Capitol Records: The Beach Boys & Brian Wilson

A 1900% increase in Facebook fans helps Brian Wilson reach over 200,000 fans a week.

Designsite has worked Beach Boys mastermind Brian Wilson since 2003, providing website and social media marketing aimed at expanding his fan-base worldwide. The website contains exclusive content including video and audio, a community message board drawing fans from around the world and a merchandise store.

Most recently, we worked with Roadside Attractions, promoting the new Hollywood Feature "Love & Mercy," a biopic on Brian's life. We redesigned the website with exclusive content, rebranded Brian's social pages and created viral content that helped make the film a sleeper hit of the Summer of 2015.

Social media includes popular Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, which feature up-to-the-minute news, photos and promotions. Our Holiday promotion was a Facebook contest for "The 12 Days of Christmas" – making winners of fans who most shared Brian's Holiday posts. The promotion resulted in nearly 20,000 new fans. Most recently, we conducted an exclusive Live Q&A session with Brian where he answered fans' questions from around the world. Promoted on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Designsite also produced two highly successful podcast series, featuring new interviews with Brian Wilson and surviving Beach Boys members, to promote the re-release of the band's seminal album Pet Sounds and another for their The Warmth of the Sun compilation. Both series generated over 350,000 listens and helped expose the Beach Boys to a new generation of listeners.
